Natural total hormone replacement therapy
Per the natural aging process involves the loss of muscle mass, bone density, skin turgor and thickness, and the increased deposition of fat throughout our bodies. In 1990, Dr. Rudman published in the New England Journal of Medicine a revolutionary study in which 60-70-year-old men treated with biogenetically engineered human growth hormone not only stopped the aging process but reversed it! It has taken approximately 6 years since Dr. Rudman's landmark study to allow the physicians in this country to prescribe human growth hormone.
Since 1997, Dr. Dedo has incorporated this technology and medical therapy in his practice to compliment the surgical result. Now with surgery addressing the physical aspects of aging, the metabolic aspects can be addressed as well. By optimizing the hormone levels in our bodies, we can now slow down the aging process. The grand-daddy of this therapy is human growth hormone. This hormone, as shown by Dr. Rudman, increases muscle mass, increases skin thickness, increases bone density and reduces natural fat stores by at least 18%.
For females and males, there are different hormones that need to be addressed and they include testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, DHEA, pregnenolone, and thyroid. It is a scientific safe approach that requires establishing the patient's blood levels.
